Informal Sunday Play Club

June 07, 2026
10:00 AM EDT - 12:00 PM EDT

Drop by Bruce Park to let the kids enjoy unstructured, mixed-age play! Adults take an intentional backseat "supervisory only" role. This is not a drop-off playgroup, however, each adult is welcome to coordinate with another adult if they want to leave their child under someone else's supervision. Kid Pledge: 1. I will play respectfully. 2. I will not deliberately hit or physically hurt another child. 3. I understand I need to get permission to leave the area. 4. I agree to listen to the adults. They’ll only get involved when they need to, and then it’s my job to listen. Parent Pledge: 1. I understand that not all kids will be happy all the time at Play Club. 2. I agree that the adults will not intervene in the children’s disagreements. 3. If my child deliberately hurts someone, they need to take a break. 4. I understand that this is a chance for my child to become more resilient, resourceful, and mature.

Wall Township Balance Conversation

June 07, 2026
4:00 PM EDT - 5:30 PM EDT
ABOUT THIS GATHERING The Balance Project is a parent-led movement helping families and communities navigate childhood in an increasingly screen-saturated world — together. From smartphones and social media to gaming, YouTube, and screen-heavy classrooms, many adults are asking the same questions: What is all of this doing to our kids, and what does a healthier balance look like? This first local gathering is an opportunity to begin that conversation here in Wall Township — to connect around the realities families are facing, explore healthier community norms, and begin building the relationships and support systems that make healthier choices easier to sustain. ⸻ THE FIRST MEETING This gathering is exactly that: a first meeting. No presentations. No fundraising. No pressure to agree on everything. Just local community members coming together to talk honestly about the realities families and schools are facing — and to begin building the connection and local support that make healthier choices easier to sustain. You do not need to arrive with a fixed position. Curiosity is enough. ⸻ WHO THIS IS FOR This gathering is open to parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators, coaches, counselors, youth leaders, and anyone who cares about children and modern childhood. You do not need to know about The Balance Project or be “anti-tech” to attend. Most people are simply trying to think more intentionally about how technology is shaping childhood, both at home and at school. If you’ve ever felt uncertain, overwhelmed, outnumbered, or alone in navigating these decisions, this is for you. ⸻ WHAT WE’LL DO AT THIS MEETING An informal but intentional evening focused on conversation and connection. We’ll spend time: • introducing The Balance Project and the ideas behind it • discussing what families and schools are seeing locally • hear different perspectives and experiences • exploring what healthier community norms could look like in Wall Township and what other established communities are doing • identify opportunities for those interested in helping lead and grow these efforts within our town Whether you come simply to listen or hope to become more involved locally, you are welcome here. ⸻ A FEW QUICK FAQS Do I have to commit to anything by attending? No. Come listen. Come once. Come to every meeting. Send an email when you have time. Every form of input moves this forward. Do I need to know about The Balance Project already? No. Most people at the kickoff will be hearing about it for the first time. Will there be follow-up meetings? Yes — frequency, format, and focus will be decided after this first meeting. Are kids welcome at this meeting? This first gathering is geared toward adults talking honestly about kids, so we'd suggest leaving little ones at home if you can. There will be future events that will include the children. ⸻ If this resonates with you, we'd love for you to help spread the word to others in the community who may value being part of the conversation. ⸻ Whatever your capacity, wherever you are on this journey- you belong here.
