All Together Tuesday is a community engagement and family resource event series hosted by Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) Family and Community Engagement. We have been invited to set-up a table at HCPS' "All-Together Tuesday Event" on Tuesday, September 15th from 5:00-7:00pm. We will be able to speak with parents and hand out resources to community members. I will be there with resources and to set the table up, but would love to have a few more Balance Project members to speak to our cause, help hand out materials, etc.

As parents, it can be challenging to navigate the many decisions surrounding youth sports. Join us for an informative panel discussion featuring experts in youth athletics, including a sports psychologist, former dual Division I athlete, physical therapist, veteran youth soccer coach with 20+ years of experience, and The Balance Project founder, Holly Moscatiello. Together, they'll share evidence-based insights and practical guidance to help parents make informed decisions that support their children's long-term well-being and athletic development. Our goal is for every parent to leave feeling more informed, empowered, and confident in navigating the youth sports journey.

As summer winds down and a new school year begins, give your tween the opportunity to slow down, connect, and build confidence from the inside out. Join local mama Allison Gold Russell for an afternoon of yoga, creativity, and connection designed for tweens ages 8–12. Together, we'll explore movement, mindfulness, stress-management tools, and a hands-on craft that encourages self-expression, confidence, and self-love as participants navigate the emotions and transitions of the back-to-school season. The afternoon begins with conversation and community-building, flows into an energizing yoga practice, and concludes with a meaningful craft to take home. Caregivers are encouraged to enjoy a little time for themselves - stay nearby and explore all that downtown Ambler has to offer! The classroom experience will be for tweens only! No prior yoga experience is necessary. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and a nut-free snack. Please note: To help everyone stay present and connected, this is a tech-free event. When parents realize they are not alone, they can create reasonable norms to adopt in their families, in their schools, and in their communities.

Most districts don’t have a clear, current, community-informed way to think through their own technology direction — decisions get made department by department, often without anyone connecting healthy defaults, social media practices, grade-band device rules, and AI policy into a single, coherent picture. A TAC doesn’t need formal authority to close that gap; it just needs a standing seat and a real line to the Superintendent. We will talk about how to advocate for one in your district, the strategies you can use and the changes you can advocate for through the TAC. Let's do this!
