Please join us for a fun family night out!
Doors open at 5:00pm for a pre-show opportunity to interact with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story.
At 5:30pm we will screen the new Disney movie Toy Story 5.
The screening will be followed by 30-40 minutes of activities for the adults and children alike.
The adults will converse with a Digital Wellness expert about the impact of the movie and will also take part in an activity to help jumpstart Summer with a "thoughtful" perspective on tech.
The children will have a mindfulness activity, create a craft and will meet and greet with Buzz and Woody at the end of the evening, too.
This is a ticketed event with a limited number of tickets. Please make sure to purchase your tickets asap so as to not miss out!
*A portion of the ticket sales will help support this event and future programming for The Balance Project Cranford Chapter.

Play Club
Independence And Play
Come join us for multi-age, unstructured free play! Children will play together and be encouraged to solve their own disagreements together. Parents can stay and act as "lifeguards" - only intervening if someone is getting hurt. No structured games will be organized, but kids are welcome to bring "loose parts" such as balls, jump ropes, etc. Play club is ideal for ages 5 and up, but obviously younger siblings can join as well. See the attachment for play club rules. Please RSVP!

PA Unplugged
"EdTech Reform in Action" with Dr. Greg Taranto & Mr. Jason Bing β presented by Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project x PA Unplugged
Phone Free Schools
Ed Tech
We are excited to partner with Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project to present an evening with Dr. Greg Taranto, superintendent of Canon McMillan, a large school district outside of Pittsburgh, PA and Mr. Jason Bing, superintendent of the School District of South Orange & Maplewood, in Maplewood, NJ.
Both school districts recently made national waves with the announcements about transitioning away from 1:1 devices in the elementary levels. However both Dr. Taranto and Mr Bingβs leadership in EdTech reform does not start or stop there.
Learn more about the amazing, data-driven changes they are making in their schools, ask questions, and leave ready to continue productive conversations with your school district.
This event will be recorded.

The Balance Project β Central VA: July Meeting
Join us for our next Balance Project gathering as we move from ideas to action. After a great kickoff in June, we're organizing into interest-based task forces so everyone can plug in where they feel most drawn β and we'd love your help shaping them.
This meeting, we'll introduce three areas of focus and let folks find their lane:
π Play Clubs β creating more time and space for free, screen-free play in our kids' days.
ποΈ Ed Tech & State Policy β advocating for balanced, age-appropriate technology in Virginia schools.
π¦ Unplug & Play & School Support β building our screen-free classroom boxes and finding other ways to support local teachers.
Come explore all three, settle into the one that excites you, or simply listen and learn β there's no commitment required, and you're welcome to move between groups as you go. Newcomers are always welcome.
