Screen-Free Summer Meet-Up Series - Belle Isle
About these meet-ups
These are relaxed, screen-free meet-ups — a chance for the kids to run, climb, splash and explore outside while we connect as parents. There's no agenda and no RSVP needed beyond fournorms.com: pop in late, leave early, or stay the whole time, whatever your day allows. Every location is free. Bring water, sunscreen and a snack, dress for the weather, and new faces are always welcome — bring a friend!
An evening of rock-hopping and river views on Belle Isle, an island in the middle of the James reached by a footbridge under the Lee Bridge. Kids love exploring the trails, big flat rocks and shallow pools as the day cools off.
Good to know — Parking: free lot at Tredegar or along 5th Street. Restrooms: a porta-potty on the island. Tip: it's a footbridge walk to reach the island, so a baby carrier beats a stroller — and the river has currents and no lifeguards, so keep little ones close.
