Suffield October Adult Meet-Up
Join other parents and community supporters to discuss and map out what Third Spaces (see below for definition) our kids have available to them in Suffield. We will focus on evaluating and brainstorming ways to promote age-appropriate childhood independence for our kids right here in Suffield.

What are Third Spaces?
A third space is a public or community environment separate from home (the first space) and school or work (the second space)—such as parks, libraries, local plazas, or after-school clubs.
These locations are vital for children because they offer low-stakes, unstructured environments where kids can build independence, practice self-directed social skills, and foster a genuine sense of community belonging outside the direct oversight of parents and teachers.
