Screen-Free Summer Meet-Up Series - Midlothian Mines
About these meet-ups
These are relaxed, screen-free meet-ups — a chance for the kids to run, climb, splash and explore outside while we connect as parents. There's no agenda and no RSVP needed beyond fournorms.com: pop in late, leave early, or stay the whole time, whatever your day allows. Every location is free. Bring water, sunscreen and a snack, dress for the weather, and new faces are always welcome — bring a friend!
An easy evening of trails and history. This historic coal-mining park has gentle paths, ponds, and old mine ruins with interpretive signs — fun for curious kids who like to explore. (It's a history-and-trails park, not a playground.)
Good to know — Parking: two lots straddling Woolridge Rd. Restrooms: a porta-potty at the pond-side lot (P2). Tip: wear good shoes and bring water and bug spray. Drop in whenever and stay as long as the exploring lasts.
