Screen-Free Summer Meet-Up Series - Humphrey Calder Playground
About these meet-ups
These are relaxed, screen-free meet-ups — a chance for the kids to run, climb, splash and explore outside while we connect as parents. There's no agenda and no RSVP needed beyond fournorms.com: pop in late, leave early, or stay the whole time, whatever your day allows. Every location is free. Bring water, sunscreen and a snack, dress for the weather, and new faces are always welcome — bring a friend!
A sandy playground with a fun twist — it overlooks the train tracks, so kids get a thrill every time a train rumbles by. There's a toddler area, a big corkscrew slide, and a community center on site.
Good to know — Parking: a little tricky (Thompson St is one-way) — approach from Grove Avenue and look for the lot behind the fire station/community center, or use the side streets. Restrooms: at the playground/community center when open. Tip: come for the trains and the corkscrew slide. Drop by whenever and stay as long as you like.
