Our Mission

Mindful Tech CSD is a community of Colonial School District parents committed to raising their children with an intentional approach to technology. We endeavor to give our kids the childhood they deserve by delaying their introduction to smartphones and social media while encouraging screen-free, child-led play. We also strive to make our schools places of deep learning and meaningful social interaction by encouraging the district to limit school-issued devices to purposeful, curriculum-enhancing educational use, not as entertainment or as a substitute for teacher-led instruction and hands-on learning. Mindful Tech CSD is a parent-led group and has no formal affiliation with Colonial School District. Views expressed by Mindful Tech CSD do not necessarily reflect the views of Colonial School District teachers, administrators, or school board members.
