Paper Tests for PA Kids

As of 2026, Pennsylvania requires every PSSA and Keystone exam to be taken on a computer. That means children as young as 8 sit in front of a screen for state tests, including typed written answers, while their schools are working to cut back on screen time. Tests shape what happens in classrooms all year, so a screen-based test means more screen time during the school day. New York made the same switch and is already reconsidering. Pennsylvania should too. Add your name to ask the state to bring back paper PSSAs for grades 3-8 and to let high school students choose paper for the Keystones.
