Your State Has Work to Do to Support Parents and Families. Your Signature Helps Make It Happen.
The Childhood Index, a project led by The Anxious Generation team, shows exactly where states are falling short for kids. This campaign puts local voices behind the data, so lawmakers hear from the people they actually represent.
When you sign, your name is counted alongside parents and community members in your area. We aggregate signatures up to the state level and work with The Childhood Index to show grassroots support where it matters most.

The data exists. Now it needs a constituency behind it.
The Childhood Index has done the hard work of evaluating every state across nine criteria -- phone-free school policies, childhood independence laws, social media age limits, tech accountability, and more. The picture it paints is clear: most states have significant ground to cover.

But research alone doesn't move lawmakers. Constituent pressure does.
When parents, teachers, and community members in the same district sign together, it stops being a national study and starts being a local mandate. Your state legislators represent your community. When they see organized, concentrated support from the families in their own districts, that changes the political calculus.
Here's how it works.
Each state campaign is already live. Find your state and add your name. Signing takes less than a minute and requires no ongoing commitment.
Share with 5 others in your community.
We do the rest. Signatures are counted at the state level, then aggregated up to the national and shared with The Childhood Index data. Local voices. Real numbers. Delivered where decisions are made.
This is how grassroots movements create policy change.
Not one big national petition that gets filed and forgotten, but thousands of local signals that together form an undeniable picture of what parents across the country actually want for their kids.
Participating is simple, add your name to your community's campaign and share it with a few people you know.
That's it. We take care of the rest.
