Petition from Distraction Free Schools via the National Center for Sexual Exploitation

Today, internet technology is inextricably woven into our children’s education. While this technology carries many benefits, it also poses risks—including exposure to pornography, sexual predators, and other harmful content and behaviors.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), seeking public input on how to better protect children from the negative aspects of Internet technology, while supporting positive educational outcomes.
