Email to Parents and PTA
Dear Families,
Across the United States, we have seen how screens have taken over our children's lives and even their educations. Most kids are on screens at school more than three hours a day. Research shows that having personal devices at schools is ineffective and the country is in a "learning recession".
The Los Angeles Unified School District just enacted a screen limit policy for its students thanks to the parent activist group Schools Beyond Screens. Due to budget cuts, we know that AISD will be transitioning away from the 1:1 device policy.
Let's use this opportunity to tell the district how we want our children's screen time at school regulated. Read more about Schools Beyond Screens here and follow the Schools Beyond Screens - Austin Facebook page!
