Our Mission

Ed Tech Balance Parent Group is committed to creating a safer, healthier, and more effective learning environment for students in City Schools of Decatur (CSD). To achieve this goal, we advocate for less screen time, less use of education technology (ed tech), including Chromebooks, and improve internet safety protections. We seek a better balance between “traditional” learning methods (i.e., live teacher based instruction, hands on learning, pencil-and-paper work) and use of ed tech in all our K-12 classrooms.
