Our Mission

Our mission is to refocus public education on the whole child by prioritizing human-centered learning over screen-based instruction. We advocate for research-backed policies—specifically within the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD)—that protect students' rights to an education free from harmful technology and screen addiction. By replacing virtual experiences with real-world problem solving and active engagement with peers, teachers, and nature, we aim to promote the healthy brain development, resilience, and curiosity essential for a lifelong love of learning. We build coalitions between parents, educators, and experts to rebuild communities and put people, health, and wellbeing at the heart of every classroom.
