Students will make backpack charms, luggage tags, cute stuffed “stuffies,” scrunchies, and a zipper coin purse. Along the way, they’ll practice simple stitches, explore colorful fabrics, and build confidence through hands-on creativity. No experience needed—just bring your imagination! Tech Leap Year is a milestone initiative designed to support children at the pivotal moment when the community norm has established that their access to personal technology should increase, often as they transition from elementary to middle school and/or from middle to high school. During this unique window, parents have an opportunity to proactively shift established community norms from following the status quo to creating a new conversation. Join this session to learn more about the approach and next steps to get this off the ground in your community this spring - to set you up for success in the fall!

At this meeting we will bring our shared vision for shifting norms into clearer focus. We will also use the digital planning tool on Four Norms to customize a "Balance Pact" to share amongst group members. Zoom option will be available!
